Issues in Focus:
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Nasayod ka ba?
- Isyu 8-9: Costs and causes of the impasse on the GRP-MILF peace talks and various perspectives and suggestions on how both parties could proceed with the formal negotiations
- Isyu 6-7: Basics of the “Super regions” formula of GMA.
Nasayod Ka Ba? Is the popularized “vernacularized” (Cebuano) version of the “hottest” issue in the eZine. This targets people’s organizations, communities, and other grassroots resources to better inform them about issues that affect their development and that of Mindanao, as a whole.
--------------------------------------
AFRIM eZine
On this issue of AFRIM eZine, we covered topics related to the "Super Regions" formula of President GMA, the costs and causes of the impasse on the GRP-MILF peace talks, the implications of the Japan-Philippines Economic Partnership Agreement, and AFRIM in Action briefs.
As an information service, distilling the basics of “hot” development issues that have direct impact on Mindanao development is done via the publication of an electronic magazine or AFRIM eZine, a bulletin that contains summaries and analyses of important articles and socio-economic and political indicators that affect Mindanao development. These are culled from major local and national newspapers and other alternative online sources.
---------------------------------------------
You can download these and other information education communication materials for free. As part of our grassroots education thrust, we especially enjoin non-government organizations, local government units, and sectoral groups to access these materials for distribution to partners, especially those in the communities.
